Sofie Cairo is a postdoc at Department of Strategy and Innovation at CBS. She holds a PhD (2021) in Economics from University of Copenhagen. She investigates topics in Public Policy, Labor and Gender Economics using field experiments and applied methods. She is currently investigating child penalties of scientists, and has accepted a temporary position at HBS 22/23. She has funding from Carlsberg Foundation to explore the gender gap in promotions and gender biased perceptions of potential.

Paolo Cavallino is a Senior Economist at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS). He is also a visiting lecturer at the Graduate Institute, Geneva. Prior to joining the BIS, Paolo worked at the International Monetary Fund in the Research and African departments. His areas of research are international macroeconomics and finance.
