Kjell G. Salvanes is a Professor in labor economics at the Norwegian School of Economics NHH. He is the Deputy Director of the Centre of Excellence FAIR-NHH. He has worked extensively on early investment in children and long-term outcomes, inequality in income, health and education and intergenerational mobility. He is a former editor of the Economic Journal, and has been the President of the European Society of Population Economics, and is an elected fellow of SOLE and EALE.
